SUPER FUN @ SANCA

Friday, July 24th, 2009

Wow! Playing at Sanca was definitely a highlight of this week! Jo Montgomery, executive director,  let us come over and learn some circus and acrobatic skills. For those of you not familiar with SANCA (School of acrobatics new circus arts), they are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing fun, safe and non-competive health and fitness to children (and adults) through the circus arts. It is an amazing organization and we were so grateful to have the opportunity to work together for the day! THANK YOU SANCA!!!

Week 3 for Helper Hands Camp

Friday, July 24th, 2009

One of our campers got to celebrate her birthday STN style…with that pinata we’ve been working on. It was super fun to knock all the treats out…Hannah Montana stickers, bubbles, fidgets, and of course the obligatory supply of candy!

Look at our helper hands in the pinata gook! Slimy yet satisfying.

“Indiana” Jones

Friday, July 24th, 2009

We love to make pretend play part of our world. Jon and Nathan were a hoot to help bring the entire Indiana trilogy to life, complete with soundtrack and rolling boulder!

BIG THANK YOU

Sunday, July 12th, 2009

Our HELPER HAND campers were busy bees on Friday! They had a visit from the GLASSES frontman, Will. Campers got to play with the drum machine, glockenspiel, and guitar! Everyone had a part to play and a sing-a-long to Scooby-Doo ensued.

BASTILLE DAY IN GEORGETOWN

Sunday, July 12th, 2009

Just poking my nose around for neighborhood goodies. This week it looks like The Corson Building: fancy-pants restaurant is having a family-friendly event from 3pm-midnight. Kids under 12 free, adults: $20.  Does the word BOUNCE HOUSE sound fun? YES! How about CARNIVAL GAMES? YES!  Crepes? OI!

Opening Week!

Sunday, July 12th, 2009

We had a full house this first week. Everything but our office was ready for business. We spied not just kids having fun, but grown-ups too!
